The Barrister's Boots in Light Brown

I got these 10ish years ago so the construction may have changed some. I have narrow heels and slim ankles but an average--possibly big--toe-box. When I tighten these laces as much as I want to/need to for them fit, the leather dimples/warps fairly noticeably and not in an attractive way. The next size smaller might have been better, but I have the same size in three styles of shoe here (1 ordered at about the same time and made from the same material, the other I just got) and with those I don't have this problem/this problem enough to bother me. I haven't worn these shoes a ton (I don't have to dress up for work and sometimes the dimpling bothered me more than other times), but in the past couple of years the leather has started to crack a lot. I haven't followed care instructions, but I think its pretty common for this material to not last a super long time.

This is about my fourth pair of kicks from Tomboy Toes. They are genuinely comfortable, look great, within my budget and hold well in many elements. As someone who is rough on their own clothing, these babes roll with my punches. I am a happy customer time and time again.

Comfortable straight out of the box, love the style, and the customer service can't be beat! The original shoes I ordered turned out to be out of stock, and the employee I was in touch with was fabulously attentive and conscientious in making things right.

I returned the barristers boots to exchange them for the dark brown, but have gotten no information on if the return was accepted or when the exchange will be shipped. I would like to try out the barrister boots but don’t have them to wear at this time.

The shoes look great however the leather appears to be poor quality and are made in china. Hoping they break in ok and start to feel like leather instead of synthetic material. This is the second pair I’ve received, the first order received was of two different boots and material construction. The left used or already worn boot was made with real leather and the right was made with thin synthetic material like the replacement boots I received. I gave a healthy two stars because the customer service was very good. If the products were made with higher quality I would purchase more items from them. I’m a tad heartbroken considering I’m a true tomboi.
